Council Approves Dog Park Concept
(Lewes, DE) Lewes City Council unanimously approved the concept of building a dog park in the City at their regular monthly meeting Monday night. Details are still sketchy on the location of the new dog park, but Mayor James Ford commended the efforts of the citizen group Lewes Unleashed for its efforts. Lewes Unleashed Chairman, Larry Wiley says, “Our work is far from over. We now move on to the next phase including finding an appropriate location for the dog park, designing it, funding the construction, and ultimately building it. There is a lot of work still ahead of us.”
Still time to pledge!!
Now that we have conceptual approval of bringing a dog park to Lewes, we start working on other aspects of the project, like funding it. And, we need your help. While the February Pledge Drive was a tremendous success, the need for further funding is great. Thank you for your generous support. If you have not made a pledge, it is not too late. Pay no money now. We will begin to collect money as we get closer to breaking ground.
