What can I do?
Beaches make great dog parks.
First, go online and register at LewesUnleashed.org, so we can continue to gauge interest in a Lewes dog park and keep you informed via email.
Second, make a financial pledge to support our effort. Do this on the Lewesunleashed.org home page. Lewes Unleashed has been approved as a component fund of the Greater Lewes Foundation in anticipation of accepting tax deductible contributions in the near future, and has conceptual approval from Lewes City Council to build a dog park in Lewes. We will begin actual fund raising efforts once we have a formal agreement with the City.
Next, spread the word about this effort to bring a dog park to Lewes. Give your friends the address of the website and ask them to pledge. While walking in Lewes, tell other dog owners about Lewes Unleashed and point them to our website.
Finally, think long-term. Once the dog park is built it will need to be maintained, and that will take a commitment of time, money and effort. Lewes Unleashed is determined to bring a dog park to Lewes which is designed, built and maintained to be worthy of our community.
